Configuring HEAT Alert Monitor

HEAT Alert Monitor - Alerts HEAT users to new calls without taking up a user license. If you aren't actively using HEAT you should close Call Logging and run this module to check for new calls.

Configuring Alert Monitor:

Step 1. Go to Start, Program Files, HEAT and click on Alert Monitor. Log into Alert Monitor choosing HEAT as the data source.

Step 2. The startup menu should appear. If it doesn't click the startup menu icon underneath the File menu. Make sure Create a new Alert definition is selected and click OK. The Call Group Alert Definition window will pop up. Click the New button to create your alert.

Step 3. Next you will define the Call Group which will be used. Click on Browse. Make sure the Global button is selected. Click My Active Assignments and click Open. Where it says Generate an alert if... Make sure Calls are Added is checked and the others are unchecked. Click OK. Then Click Exit.

Step 4. Go to File and select Save. Save the definition to Program Files, HEAT. Name the alert if you like or leave it as the default.

Step 5. Click the Options Menu and select User Preferences. On the bottom under Startup Options check Minimize Main Window and Automatically Start Polling. Click on browse and select the alert that you saved in Step 4. You're done!

Note: If you want Alert Monitor to automatically launch when you log in create a shortcut to Alert Monitor and place it in your Startup folder.
