Using MobileHEAT

HEAT

MobileHEAT is a module of HEAT designed for use on a laptop. It places a local copy of the HEAT database on the laptop and allows the user to synchronize calls with the live system. Using MobileHEAT is just like using HEAT. Double click Call Logging and select MobileHEAT as the Data Source. If this is the only way you use HEAT you can choose to Automatically use this Data Source in the future.

Log into HEAT

Log into HEAT with your username and HEAT password.

Note : You cannot change your HEAT password through the MobileHEAT client..

Enter Calls and Create Assignments

You can now enter calls and create assignments just as you would in HEAT. When you are done click Save. If they can be closed then click Quick Close. You do not have to be connected to the network to enter calls in Mobile HEAT.

Synchronizing Calls

Once calls have been entered and saved you will want to update them to the live database. You also should check to see if there are any new calls assigned to you. Go to the Accessory menu and select MobileHEAT - Transfer Calls...

This will bring up the MobileHEAT Call Transfers window. Under Download Options Click Groups and select My Active Assignments from the Global Call Groups

Click Transfer to upload any calls you have entered offline and to download a list of the calls you have assigned to you.

Checking for New Calls

When you have synchronized the calls you can go to Group, Open Call Group and Select My Active Assignments from the Global Call Groups. This will open any calls that have been assigned to you. After working on these calls be sure to synchronize with the live database.

Updating the Profile Table

The Profile table holds all the information about our customers. It is updated periodically. If you are using MobileHEATyou will need to update this table manually. When you synchronize calls, check to see if the check box is grayed out for Profile table has changed, get changes. If it isn't grayed out then it has been updated. Click the check box to update the list of profiles.

Remember you only needed to be connected to the network when you are synchronizing MobileHEAT. You should try to synchronize MobileHEAT everyday.
