Announcing SORT! The SUNY Oneonta Refurbished Technology Program

In an effort to formalize the redistribution of refurbished college-owned technology, Academic Information Technology Services has begun a new program called SORT, the SUNY Oneonta Refurbished Technology Program.

The program was designed to gather and refurbish still usable computers or related equipment that have outlived their usefulness in one department but may be useful to another.  If you have a need for refurbished computer equipment you may submit a request to SORT via our online request form.

The program is just beginning so be aware that inventory is limited and the age of the computers is likely to be four or more years old. Redistribution is on a first come, first served basis and SORT equipment is for work-related purposes only. Refurbished technology can be used to replace existing older equipment, and is not intended for the creation of computer labs.

If you have computer or related equipment that you wish to have removed from your department, please follow the college's surplus policy located online, to have this equipment properly removed.
