TIPS ( Technology Instruction Program for Students) provides help desk style support for students' applications needs. If you have an assignment which requires you to use one of our supported applications , and you need some help with the skills needed, you can come to TIPS for help. - Location: 2nd Floor Computer Lab in Milne Library

The SUNY Oneonta campus uses Microsoft Office 2007 as its main office suite. Therefore TIPS currently provides support for the following applications: - Microsoft Access 2007

What kinds of support does TIPS provide to students? |
Tips offers support that fits the varied learning styles of today's students. Whether you prefer to be tutored by one of our staff, or you prefer to learn by yourself, TIPS has resources to accommodate your needs. You may choose from the following tyoes of support: - Individual tutoring sessions, by appointment
- Group tutoring sessions, by appointment (2 or more individuals)
- Scheduled workshops(10 or more individiuals)

How can I arrange support and tutoring through TIPS? |
- Scheduled Workshops: TIPS holds regularly scheduled workshops for Microsoft Office 2007 and for Adobe Dreamweaver. All students, from all classes are invited to attend these workshops.
- Tutoring sessions (individual): Call 436-4TIP (4847) to arrange an appointment. A tutor will get in touch with you to finalize details. You may also request a session using our online form .

Please inform us of how many students plan to attend. We will need to accommodate with various different locations. You may also request a session using our online form .
- Walk-in: Just walk in to the TIPS office (2nd floor computer lab in Milne Library) and ask us for help. We will try to troubleshoot your issue right there.
