I updated sophos on the college campus a long time ago when the update came out, but it still doesnt connect to a server. Now we got an email saying to make connection easier when we get back to the campus we should run the scan now so we know it will work when we get there, but I failed the first scan with the antivirus software and I don't know how to fix sophos to get it to work. I'm not sure if I'm the only one with this problem or what, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

Seeing as you mentioned that the version you have might be old I would suggest you redownload the newest version from the web site and install it to make sure you will pass the scan.

Make sure to follow the directions at the bottom of the page to configure it to update.
